scottpollocklabs is a business incubator of sorts in Texas where the occasional spark turns to structure. More workshop than showroom, it’s white boards, raw materials, chemicals, prototypes. Ideas are tested and when something clicks, real solutions and products can come to life. Most don’t survive, but they can be building blocks for a broader mindset. And the rare gems discovered along the way may become a thriving business.

Just down the road from Husker stadium, Scott Pollock’s entrepreneurial spirit took shape at an intersection of ball fields, courts and oval tracks. Little league and sports formed a roadmap for learning how to reach deeper inside for other pursuits in life. But it was growing up in a family in the middle of the thoroughbred racing business which forged a more unique approach. All of Scott’s summer jobs from elementary school through college were at the racetrack, whether in the barns or management office not far from his racing hall of fame dad. A novice polymath who decoded odds, payouts, and probabilities, he steered clear of the industry’s parimutuels. Rather, it was connecting with the horsemen and majestic steeds themselves that brought lessons to parlay into business and life's own unpredictable derby.

After obtaining a business degree with overtime in the math and philosophy departments, Scott worked in the corporate world for a large computer company. Within a few years he left to chart his own course and began putting venture capital deals together, eventually starting a firm and several subsequent partnerships. Finding the satisfaction in deriving order from chaos shifted from classroom to business.

In parallel with business pursuits came raising three amazing children primarily on his own, and now they're all grown and thriving. The unique learning moments that came with that territory led to perspective. It’s through this more panoramic lens that impactful new ideas and products have been born. 

To date, Scott has invested in and helped build dozens of companies. Spanning thirty years, from a leading brand of water purification products, to the pioneer in minimally invasive back and neck surgery, to motorcycle manufacturing and small business lending. Some, but certainly not all, generated multiple hundreds of millions in revenue and employed thousands of people.

2026 projects are in wellness, longevity, safer households. The most valuable investment returns come from developing oneself and enhancing the quality of life of loved ones.
